Terms of Use, Subscription, Cancellation and Withdrawal – Painfree

Version: September 2026

Painfree and DolorLibre are the same app and the same service from Reducept B.V. These terms therefore apply to DolorLibre in full.

These terms apply to consumers using the Painfree app and Reducept VR and to paid subscriptions entered into with Reducept B.V.

Please read these terms before taking out a paid subscription.

1. Who provides Painfree?

Painfree and Reducept VR are provided by:

Reducept B.V.
Sophialaan 1A
8911 AE Leeuwarden
The Netherlands

Chamber of Commerce (KvK): 74239678
Email: info@reducept.com

In these terms, Reducept B.V. is referred to as Reducept.

2. Painfree and Reducept VR

Painfree is a digital training programme for people who want to learn how to better manage chronic pain.

The programme includes information, lessons and exercises. Reducept VR provides additional training in virtual reality.

Parts of Painfree can be used free of charge. A subscription is required to access the paid functionality of Reducept VR.

Painfree and Reducept VR can be used separately or together.

3. Not a substitute for medical care

Painfree and Reducept VR are intended as training and support and are not a substitute for professional medical care.

The Services are not intended to provide a medical diagnosis and are not intended for acute medical situations.

If you have questions or concerns about your health, symptoms, medication or treatment, contact a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional.

Results vary from person to person. Reducept does not guarantee that using Painfree or Reducept VR will result in a particular reduction in pain, improvement in health or any other specific outcome.

4. Your account

You need a personal account for certain parts of Painfree and Reducept VR.

You are responsible for:

  • providing accurate account information;
  • keeping your login details confidential; and
  • securing the device on which you use the Services.

Your account is personal and may not be transferred to another person without Reducept's permission.

5. Privacy and personal information

The separate Privacy Policy for Pijnvrij, Painfree and Reducept VR applies to the processing of personal data.

Much of the personal information you enter during the training, including answers to exercises, writing exercises, personal notes and conversations with the AI chatbot, is stored exclusively locally on your phone and is not accessible to Reducept.

The wellbeing score that you can periodically enter yourself is stored centrally when you have given your consent.

If you choose to link your account to a healthcare professional, practice or healthcare organisation and give your explicit consent, your linked healthcare professional can follow your wellbeing score and its development.

Further information is available in the Privacy Policy.

6. Safe use of Reducept VR

To use Reducept VR, you need a compatible smartphone and VR headset or VR box.

Only use VR in a safe environment. Make sure you have sufficient space and cannot collide with objects or other people.

Do not use Reducept VR while driving, cycling, participating in traffic or carrying out other activities where reduced vision or attention may create a risk.

Stop using VR if you experience severe dizziness, nausea, disorientation or other significant discomfort.

Reducept cannot guarantee that Reducept VR will work on every smartphone, operating system or VR headset. Where relevant, we provide information about technical requirements and compatibility.

7. Subscriptions

A subscription can be purchased to access the paid functionality of Reducept VR.

Reducept currently offers the following subscriptions:

Monthly subscription: €14.95 per month
Annual subscription: €99.50 per year

The price displayed when you take out your subscription is the price that applies to your subscription. Any taxes that must legally be included in the consumer price are included in the displayed price.

The monthly subscription automatically renews for one month at a time until you cancel.

The annual subscription automatically renews at the end of its term unless you cancel before renewal.

Before you subscribe, Reducept will inform you of the price, duration and automatic renewal.

8. Payment

Payments and subscriptions are processed through Stripe.

By taking out a subscription, you authorise payment of the subscription fee using your selected payment method.

Reducept does not itself store full payment card details.

If a payment cannot be processed, we may ask you to update your payment details. If payment remains outstanding, we may temporarily suspend paid access until payment has been made.

9. Free VR box with your subscription

Where offered as part of your subscription, Reducept provides you with a VR box at no separate charge, which allows you to use a compatible smartphone with Reducept VR.

The VR box is not sold to you separately and no separate purchase price is charged for it.

If you end your subscription during the first month, you must return the VR box to Reducept.

After the first month, you may keep the VR box, even if you later cancel your subscription.

10. Cancelling your subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time.

Cancellation means that your subscription will not renew after the end of the subscription period you have already paid for.

If you cancel a monthly subscription, you retain access to the paid functionality until the end of the month you have already paid for. If you cancel an annual subscription, you retain access until the end of the annual period you have already paid for.

In principle, no partial refund is provided for the remaining period of a normally cancelled subscription.

You can cancel your subscription using the available option in your account or by contacting us at info@reducept.com.

Reducept does not charge a cancellation fee.

Your statutory consumer rights remain fully applicable.

11. Statutory cooling-off period and right of withdrawal

When you take out a subscription online as a consumer, you generally have a statutory cooling-off period of 14 days during which you may withdraw from the agreement without giving a reason.

You do not need to provide a reason for withdrawal.

These terms do not restrict your statutory right of withdrawal.

12. Withdrawal during the statutory cooling-off period

If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal during the statutory cooling-off period, you must clearly inform Reducept within the applicable statutory period that you wish to withdraw from the agreement.

You can do this by sending an email to:

info@reducept.com

Please preferably include the email address used to create your account so that we can identify your subscription.

You may also use an online withdrawal function where Reducept makes such a function available in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

You may use the statutory model withdrawal form, but you are not required to do so.

13. Ending your subscription during the first month and the VR box

Where a VR box is offered with your subscription, you receive it at no separate charge.

If you want to end your subscription within the first month after taking it out, you must return the VR box to Reducept.

This applies both if you exercise your statutory right of withdrawal during the cooling-off period and if you end your subscription after that period but still within the first month.

After the first month, you may keep the VR box even if you later cancel your subscription.

Following your cancellation or withdrawal, you will receive return instructions where necessary.

The direct cost of returning the VR box is your responsibility unless Reducept indicates that it will cover these costs.

This arrangement does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

14. Use during the cooling-off period

You may use Painfree and Reducept VR immediately after taking out your subscription.

Where required by law, when you subscribe we will ask you to expressly agree that the paid service may begin during the statutory cooling-off period.

If you subsequently exercise your right of withdrawal during the cooling-off period, we will apply the applicable statutory rules.

Reducept will never charge more following withdrawal than is permitted by law.

15. Refund after withdrawal

If you validly exercise your statutory right of withdrawal, we will refund the amounts to which you are entitled by law within the applicable statutory period.

We will generally use the same payment method that you used for the original payment unless otherwise agreed with you.

If you are required to return a VR box, we may wait to issue the refund until we have received the VR box or until you provide evidence that you have returned it, to the extent permitted by law.

16. Refunds outside the statutory cooling-off period

In the case of a normal cancellation after the statutory cooling-off period, no refund is generally provided for a subscription period that has already been paid for. You retain access to the paid functionality until the end of that period.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

For example, in the case of a duplicate or incorrect payment, a service that has not been provided, or a defect for which consumer law entitles you to a remedy, price reduction, refund or termination, we will apply the applicable statutory rules.

17. Problems with the VR box

If a VR box supplied by Reducept is defective or does not meet what you can reasonably expect from it, please contact us at info@reducept.com.

Where Reducept is responsible for the defect, we will provide an appropriate solution in accordance with your statutory rights.

18. Availability and changes to the Services

Reducept aims to keep Painfree and Reducept VR reliably available but cannot guarantee that the Services will always operate without interruptions or technical errors.

Maintenance, updates, failures of internet, app or other technical services and circumstances outside our control may temporarily affect availability.

We may modify and improve the Services, for example to improve functionality, security, compatibility or usability or to comply with legal requirements.

Where a change has a material impact on a paid Service, we will inform you where required by law.

Your statutory rights relating to digital services remain applicable.

19. Updates and compatibility

Updates may be necessary for the proper and secure functioning of the Services.

You are responsible for installing reasonably necessary updates to the Painfree app, Reducept VR and your phone's operating system.

We may specify minimum technical requirements for devices and operating systems. Where relevant to the use of the Services, we will inform you of these requirements.

Your statutory rights relating to digital services and necessary updates remain fully applicable.

20. Permitted use

Reducept grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use Painfree and Reducept VR for your own non-commercial purposes.

Without Reducept's permission, you may not:

  • commercially resell or make the Services available to others;
  • circumvent security measures;
  • copy, modify or reverse-engineer the software except where expressly permitted by law;
  • intentionally disrupt the Services; or
  • use the Services unlawfully.

21. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights relating to Painfree, Reducept VR and associated content, software, text, images, exercises, training materials, trademarks and designs belong to Reducept or its licensors unless otherwise stated.

Your subscription only gives you the right to use the Services as described in these terms. No intellectual property rights are transferred to you.

22. Suspension or termination by Reducept

Reducept may temporarily restrict or terminate your access where reasonably necessary, for example in cases of fraud, misuse, serious or repeated breach of these terms, attempts to circumvent security measures, or use that harms the Services or other users.

Where reasonable, we will first inform you and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue.

If Reducept terminates a paid subscription for reasons that cannot be attributed to you, we will refund the amount for the undelivered part of the paid subscription period where you are legally entitled to such a refund.

23. Liability

Reducept will provide the Services with reasonable care.

Painfree and Reducept VR are training programmes and individual results may vary. Reducept does not guarantee any specific result.

To the extent permitted by law, Reducept is not responsible for damage resulting from use of the Services contrary to these terms or clear safety instructions.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where such limitation or exclusion is not permitted under mandatory consumer law.

Your statutory rights as a consumer always remain applicable.

24. Changes to prices

Reducept may change subscription prices for future subscription periods.

A price change will not apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

Where a price change affects a future renewal of your subscription, we will inform you in advance where required by law.

You may cancel your subscription before the relevant renewal.

25. Changes to these terms

Reducept may amend these terms where reasonably necessary, for example due to changes to the Services, legislation, technology or our operations.

Where a change materially affects your rights or an ongoing paid subscription, we will inform you where required by law.

The latest version of these terms is available through our website and/or app.

26. Governing law and disputes

This agreement is governed by Dutch law.

If you live in another country where mandatory consumer law provides you with additional protection, the choice of Dutch law does not deprive you of that protection.

If you have a complaint, please first contact us at info@reducept.com so that we can try to resolve the issue.

Your right to bring a dispute before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law remains unaffected.
